Thanksgiving

Hello! How was your Thanksgiving? Mine was awesome. For the first time in 2 years every family member was able to come. We invite both sides of the family. My cousins on my moms side haven't been able to come for 2 years. The first year my 7 year old cousin was sick. My uncle is a cop. The second time he was on call and couldn't be 2 hours away from home. They spent it at a friends house. It felt like family traditions were finally coming back. Our whole family was reuniting. The guy cousins from both sides of the family were wrestling the whole time. My 7 year old cousin beat up my 15 year old cousin. By the end of the weekend, The younger one could only turn his head one way and one shoulder was higher than the other. Yikes! My older cousin had scratches all over his arms. It was not pretty. The girls talked about Boy Drama. The woman played card games. The men watched football games. Since it was raining on thursday, we didn't go to the turkey trot like we always do. So when it stopped raining we had to go on a walk. It was a cold and muddy 1 mile walk. We were frozen. Can you imagine having to go on a cold walk on thanksgiving even though there was a warm toasty house waiting for us? On Black friday we all went shopping till 1:30 or later. It was awesome. We hit almost every store. The adults shopped for the kids. The kids shopped and ate all alone. It was awesome. I can't wait till next year. It was a great Thanksgiving!

We went to the American Girl Shop in Chicago yesterday. Brooke got the new girl of the year Chrissa. She looks just like Brooke. Chrissa has 2 best friends Sonali and Gwen. I got Sonali. She is Afrian-American and she has curly hair. Libby got a look alike doll. Her name is Ki-Ki. She is African-American and curly hair too.
